How to Frame “Wanting More” In Life

There’s a positive “wanting more” mentality and a negative “wanting more” mentality. The negative one is always wanting more in life because you feel you “lack” something, or you need some external validation or thing to fulfill you. This one also is correlated with a lack of gratefulness for what you have, and this person doesn’t appreciate the little things, or the big things, they may have. They’ll never fully be able to enjoy the present moment.

Now the positive “wanting more” is about being driven BY the gratefulness and BY your appreciation for life & the breath you got. It is not driven by a “lack” of something, but more-so the desire to make something out of yourself, to improve yourself to be your best self, to give back to the world, to not take life and opportunities for granite, etc. This is how to frame “wanting more” from yourself, in your career, from your loved ones, & from life in general. Always raise the bar because you’re not owed anything in this world – but rather it is up to all of us to owe something great to the world.
