Raising an Ace – To Be Open-Minded

Open-mindedness is about straying far outside any perceived mental box, and challenging one’s self to think creatively about all the possibilities out there. We discuss this valuable concept in our next video on raising Ace to be open-minded. The content is so necessary in today’s world. Check it out:

Every person knows someone who always thinks they’re right no matter what – Call him Joe. And then when given an opinion from a different viewpoint or new information, Joe is then closed off on giving an inch to his mental thought. Joe does not want to hear he is not right. Joe believes his first thought no matter what, even when ironically it’s not even technically his thought to begin with – He got it from the news or another person. Joe is comfortable letting his ideas control him; Joe likes being a slave. When Joe speaks, he knows it sounds good – even though he either doesn’t even know what he’s saying or if he’s conscious enough, that he may not even believe it deep down. Joe is a surface level thinker; there’s no point to think deeper about topics when you know it all right? Do not try to convince Joe of a positive or negative possibility of a particular action; Joe knows the standard and because he’s always done XYZ, he will do XYZ until the day he dies. He will also think ABC until he goes under too … Unfortunately for Joe, he didn’t have parents that raised him to be open-minded! And unfortunately for the world right now, most people are like Joe.

For Ace, we know he will be the anti-Joe. He will be open-minded to all possibilities of thoughts & action, embrace the diversity of the world, and be open-minded to growth continually as he ascends his greatness journey.

Peace, Love, & Open-Mindedness!

  1. As I age, I often change my opinions…but the world lately frightens me and causes me to change from day to day. Problem is not being able to believe the news! Three TV channels can easily provide three different videos or stories – the problem is in deciding which one to believe. So, confidence in one’s self is very, very important.

Happy First Birthday to our dear little Ace!

    • Thanks for the birthday wishes! And yes digesting news properly is a valuable skill – and this news can be from anything: TV, social media, even from another person telling your something. It’s very important to be confident in your ability to critically think through all of the information.
