32 in 32: Move

It’s a painful experience laying on your deathbed realizing that you held back greatness due to hesitancy and imaginary excuses along the way. Hopefully we’ll never know how that feels. Every person starts off with only potential – no 5 year old is living out his/her true greatness. And even if a 25 year old is living out a degree of greatness, there’s more there. There’s always more potential to unleash, more light to shine onto others. People who tell themselves they’ve experienced everything life has to offer are foolish. No matter who you are, there’s more gifts inside of you yearning to come out. And everyone knows that deep down; the problem is there’s a war inside every individual. For emphasis, I’m gonna’ repeat what I wrote in F.E.A.R.“As Kanye West says in Jesus Walks, ‘Most of all, we’re at war with ourselves.‘” Everybody has excuses on deck ready to be grabbed as to why they haven’t made their move yet. Don’t grab them. Trust that once you make your move and jump from the security of your present moment to your unknown future, everything will disperse accordingly in time. And regardless of how everything turns out, when you’re on your deathbed you can say proudly and with satisfaction & peace of mind, “I made my move. I unleashed my true nature. I held nothing back.” You have exactly one life in which to do everything you’ll ever do. Act accordingly.

Will Smith video on fear (10:00) – “If there was one concept that I would suggest to people to take a daily confrontation with, it’s fear. The problem with fear is that it lies … {Story about his skydiving experience} … And you fall out of the airplane and in 1 second, you realize that it’s the most blissful experience of your life – you’re flying … There’s zero fear, you realize that the point of maximum danger is the point of minimum fear … The lesson for me was, ‘Why were you scared in your bed the night before?’ What do you need that fear for? … And in that moment when you should be terrified, is the most blissful experience of your life. And God placed the best things in life on the other side of terror. On the other side of your maximum fear are all of the best things in life.”

Steve Harvey (0:13) – “Every successful person in this world has jumped … eventually you are going to have to jump. You cannot just exist in this life; you have got to try to live. If you’re waking up thinking there’s got to be more to your life than it is, man believe that it is … The only way for you to soar is you’ve got to jump. You’ve got to take that gift that’s packed away on your back; you’ve got to jump off that cliff and pull that chord. That gift opens up and provides the soar … “
