Don’t Blow Out a Child’s Candle

* Here’s a clip from a “Negative News Station” Parody on my See Humor channel – Full link HERE

Recognize the fact that often the person or group to fear is not the person or group directly blowing out the candle, but it is instead the person or group telling you that there is a person who will blow out your candle. That in and of itself blows out the candle.

People have to be very intentional, strategic, and productive when discussing adverse subjects. Often, people are not. The media in particular is not, and it disgusts me as it should disgust you. Nobody who is an actual victim, oppressed, or disadvantaged wants it to be shoved into their ears on the regular and noone who is NOT those things benefits from being called those things. Therefore, what’s the point? Acknowledge your interpretation of reality briefly and move on to solutions. That goes for a person, myself and my son included, dealing with a personal issue or society as a whole dealing with a more major issue.

Reflect on that.

  1. Brian, I’m reading this and thinking news we see every day…and unfortunately, I don’t see it getting better – your thoughts?

    • Hi Aunt Alma. I agree – it’s going to be an uphill battle to transform the news. It’s partly due to money reasons – with the internet & all, the last 10-15 years news media has distorted a lot more information & have seemed more inclined to be overly negative. The next video on my channel will be on a “Positive News Network” so I show what I feel the news should look like. The world has some negative things, but of course positive things too. The world is mostly positive in fact, but you wouldn’t get that message from mainstream media. They typically just show the 5% evil stuff going on.
