32 in 32: Escape Artist

Everyone has potential to be an Escape Artist. Nobody should ever feel trapped in anything – their ideas, their career, or their life. The issue is that people often convince themselves they are boxed in because they don’t have a door key, the window is too small to escape from, or there aren’t even doors or windows. And sometimes that thinking is valid – at times you’re trapped for a reason. Maybe it’s not the right moment to escape & you have to wait it out, or maybe you shouldn’t escape at all because a renovation is coming. But most of the time, it’s advantageous to escape. So how does one escape their current way of living & seize desired opportunities? Well, talk to the construction worker that built the place. Or in other words, talk to yourself. After all, “You are confined only by the walls you build yourself” (Andrew Murphy). You must look inside of yourself and use your Vision to notice cracks in the foundation. Let your Real Pride ignite creation of the necessary weapons to attack those cracks. Then, execute your escape plan to your greatness, and break through the walls around you.

Blaise Pascal – “All of humanity’s problems stem from man’s inability to sit quietly in a room alone.”

Randy Pausch (18:15) – “The brick walls are there for a reason. The brick walls are not there to keep us out; the brick walls are there to give us a chance to show how badly we want something. Because the brick walls are there to stop the people who don’t want it badly enough.”
